Dear Pa2X Owners,
Regarding the reports of failing/non-working LEDs, after considerable investigation and testing we have found that this issue is tied to a particular lot of LED parts. We are sure that this problem has no correlation with any other software or hardware issues, and this should make you confident the problem will not expand. When a LED breaks, the instrument continues to work with no influence from the broken LED (apart for the missing visual interaction with the user).
According to our world-wide distributors, this LED issue is a very, very small percentage of the total units sold into the marketplace.
When a LED breaks, we suggest you contact the nearest Service Center or Distributor, and arrange for the repair. When you go to the repair shop for your scheduled appointment, the work will be done as soon as possible, by replacing the whole circuit board that the LEDs are mounted to. This is the fastest and most complete way to solve the problem for you. Please, DO NOT bring your instrument to a shop if no LEDs have broken, we will only
support fixing instruments that exhibit a problem. Note that each Korg Distributor may handle this procedure somewhat differently, so be sure to speak to your local representative.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide a serial number range because we mixed the boards from the different batches during the manufacturing process. Giving an inaccurate serial number range could cause unnecessary concern. We repeat that the number of faulty units is small, and there are steps in place to deal with any problems quickly and easily.
